For our theme, Rock Solid: Are YOU ready to rock?! , we used the Hard Rock Café logo and tweaked it to read Rock Solid (where Hard Rock would be) and CAMP (where CAFÉ would be) with Are You Ready to Rock?! underneath it. We had black sweatshirts and the inside of the rock solid circle was either hot pink, turquoise, yellow, or lavender outlined in silver on the back of our hoodies. Helaman 5:12 was our scripture theme, and our theme song was “Built Upon the Rock” by Sally DeFord.
For our activities, we went rappelling and likened it to putting our trust in the Savior. We hiked to Minnetonka Cave near Bear Lake one day where we saw ROCK formations. We were ROCK STARS at our Rock Concert (in place of skits) one night, using appropriate music, costumes, props, and a karaoke machine. We also ROCKED as secret service sisters all week and we had a “Rock of Fame” where we duct taped stars every time we performed an act of service. We tied blankets and wrote to our ward missionaries/servicemen on our ROCKIN’ service day.
